Eclipse 2017 | Virginia Beach Photographer

Well I know this is old… But I wanted to use it to show you all just what lifestyle sessions are all about. And how documenting these moments (no matter how small) are important.

On this day August 21st 2017 my Mom offered to keep the grand babies so my sister and I could have some time to ourselves and venture out together to see the eclipse. And any one who is a Mom can relate and would take advantage of the chance too!

First we had run to the Central Library and waited in line for the solar sun glasses so we could at least look up at the sun. We sat and chatted with new faces and talked about many things. So the 3 hours of waiting around wasn’t such a waste. As soon as we got to the end of the line we grabbed our glasses and ran, lol.

We decided to grab our cameras, some Wendy’s for lunch (after all everyone LOVES a frosty), and we headed to our favorite place on Shore Drive. We walked around, talked, and just relaxed.

And even though we didn’t get a full eclipse… The day felt a little different and the sky looked as if a storm was moving in without a cloud in sight. It was the strangest feeling but amazing too.  (and capturing the shadows around us was cool to see too!)

Yes, these images may not be much. But they sure do bring me back to that day and being able to escape out of the house while our Mom got her Nina time with our babies.

It was a gift, and memories I will never forget.
